Self Standing Painting
This baby mountain Goat was showing off by standing out on the farthest edge of Mt Evans over looking the valley, a view of at least 60+ miles. He made me think oh our own kids who would pick the most dangerous spots to stand. The mother Goat was not to terrible concerned. She even seemed to be laughing or smiling in the picture, so I painter her with that same expression.
I had Tom shape the board with curves because that is the shape of the clouds, not square and boxy like a regular painting would be. I felt like it let the clouds be more natural and not enclosed in a box.
This piece is self standing.
